Supply Nexus is recognized by "La Caixa" Foundation for its selfless participation in the child vaccination campaign to fight against infant mortality in third world countries.
This way we support the great initiative, promoted by Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance. Its main objective is to save as many lives as possible, fighting against pneumonia, the major infectious cause of death in children worldwide.
In the world's poorest countries, an estimated 5.2 million children under the age of five died in 2019 from preventable and treatable causes.
Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance was founded in 2000 as a public-private partnership whose mission is to protect the health of the population in the poorest countries. Since 2008, "la Caixa" Foundation promotes in Spain the Alliance for Child Vaccination with the aim of offering the Spanish society the opportunity to collaborate with Gavi in its fight against child mortality.
Until 2020, the Alliance has managed to vaccinate 5.5 million children against this disease.
