CASE STUDY ENAGAS

Segmentation of the typology of materials according to various basic parameters. Definition of a ‘Standard’ treatment by segment of materials with respect to the physical points where they will be stored, their replenishment profile, and their management level (local or central) within the organization. Definition of the policies on how to use the current physical network of warehouses, and the transport between them, to optimize stocks through centralization (to the point that lead time requirements allow).

Establishment of specific replenishment parameters for each item (safety stock, order point, ...). Quantification of the estimated benefits of the proposed changes. Evaluation of Enagás' ability to implement the required changes, in terms of its current suppliers, organization, systems, and established processes.
